Spontaneous celebrations by citizens, young and old, men and women, in Singa City following its liberation by the Sudanese Army from the terr_orist Rapid Support Militia (Janjaweed). The liberation brought immense relief, marking an end to the rampant loo.ting, the.ft, and ethnically targeted ki.llings. Additionally, it halted the despicable acts of r.ape and starvation perpetrated by the Janjaweed militia across all their controlled regions. These oppressive acts had compelled citizens to flee to areas under the control of the state and the Sudanese Armed Forces for safety and protection – Sennar State – November 23, 2024.
